Let sledge dogs take you to discover scenery and gorgeous snow-covered glens or, more sportively, enjoy riding a sledge under the mushers' supervision.

 

From the family ride through the Forêt Blanche area to the sport initiation of riding a sledge, this activity will enable the little ones as well as the grown-ups to enjoy untouched areas with no tracks, larch woods, immaculate plateaux or steep and challenging slopes...

 

In the evening, after the pistes have closed, enjoy the mountains and the Forêt Blanche's wide-open spaces on a snow-bike, which remains an excellent way for a safe escapade with friends.

 

Discovery from the first sensations of riding on snow up to the mastering of the machine when clearing an obstacle, jumping, bends...

 

 

Discover the Vars resort in a different way, observe the ski areas from another angle, enjoy nature differently: inititation and discovery flights, advanced courses and training packages are provided

 

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, alone or with a group or family, into skiing or into new winter sports, Vars instructors will make you discover the pleasures of a skiing holiday. Staff qualified in all sorts of skiing techniques will make you appreciate the Forêt Blanche's exceptional surroundings.

 

Every Thursday evening during school holidays, children can meet up for a torch-lit descent!!

 

With their own torch, under staff supervision, they will make the show! Big bends, big champions, beautiful fairy lights and an unforgettable memory ("Flocon" level required, meeting point at the pistes des Ecrins).

All the enthusiasts of new winter sports can meet up from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, every Wednesday and Thursday during school holidays and every Thursday outside holidays, to freely carry on their favourite sport.

 

For this occasion, "l'espace JIB débutant" (the beginner JIB club - freestyle and street atmosphere) will be open to everyone. You will be able to test adapted modules with boxes and rails of different levels.

 

Every Wednesday during school holidays and every Thursday outside holidays, you can meet up for this contest of best tricks on handrails for beginners.

 

Throughout the riders' demonstrations, those who have electronic equipment for digital music will come and programme the music for this freestyle session.

In Vars, two maintained and safe sledge areas, welcome the little ones...and the grown-ups with modules (bumps, tables, raised bends).

 

To discover absolutely: once a week, a group sledge descent - safe under staff supervision. Every Tuesday and Thursday during school holidays, every Thursday outside holidays, the little ones and the grown-ups can meet up for a mega sledge descent: about 400m of level difference, 2 km long for unforgettable sensations.

 

When the pistes close, a play area is provided for you for everyone's enjoyment, meeting point at the foot of the Chabrières cable-car at 4.20pm (helmet compulsory for kids, recommended for adults, valid ski pass, sledge with metal brakes compulsory, from 6 years old, accompanied by an adult).
